ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS

BME Fire Trucks is looking a Multimedia Designer to join its Marketing Team to
assist with creative projects through a variety of channels, including print, digital,
and web.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the team on a wide range of projects, such as flyers, brochures,
    postcards, posters, emails, trade show materials, web graphics,
    advertisements, and more
  • Create cohesive designs that reflect our branding
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist to create graphics for the
    company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter,
    Instagram, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Assist in any marketing, management, or administrative activities
  • Photography and photo editing of the company’s product
  • Plan and edit video products from start to finish
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of marketing supplies
  • Maintain digital archive of photos, images, and previous work products

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience (Preferred. Training will be provided, if needed.)

A Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing purchasing, inventory, and shipping and receiving departments. Their primary duties include improving productivity and efficiency, reducing costs, and securing high-quality materials for BME production.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Chain Managers analyze and take any steps necessary to improve the overall productivity of the supply chain. They come up with strategies to speed up the processes of packing, loading, and delivering products. Other responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance, and maintaining cost-effective practices
  • Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse
  • Analyzing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place
  • Identifying and minimizing risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
  • Managing inventory, packing, and distributing
  • Setting up Standard Operating Procedures
  • Working with Scheduling and Operations to aid production
  • Supervising and training employees

Supply Chain Manager is an in-person position, must be willing to relocate if needed.

PRODUCTION POSITIONS

Automotive Assemblers are responsible for installing various manufactured parts and fitting components onto fire apparatus. You must read and understand blueprints and collect the proper materials needed to start the assembly process. You will also be using power tools, climbing ladders, working on top and under trucks while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. 

Related field experience:

  • Automotive customization
  • Finish carpentry
  • Metal assembly work. 

Examples of duties:

  • Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
  • Lift light and heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.
  • Operate a crane/hoist for heavy lifting
  • Perform drilling, sanding, grinding, and buffing of parts
  • Perform gluing, taping, filing, screwing, tightening, and clamping of parts

  • Build and assemble subparts for the following assembly process

Fire Apparatus Manufacturing – Body Shop Team Member

We are a growing shop looking to find experienced body shop employees who have a good understanding of bodywork principles, how to use body filler, how to block sand, and the ability to use air-tools. An ideal candidate would have a broad range of experiences and a strong mechanical aptitude. Related field experience would include automotive customization or collision repair work.

We work on large flat panels that require a fair amount of practice to become proficient at filling and blocking. As a Bodywork and Prep Technician, you will be responsible for grinding, acid washing, and prepping the body for the paint process. Responsibilities will include mixing and applying body filler, sanding with both longboards and mud-hog sanders. Finish sanding primer, caulking seams, masking openings, and occasional color sanding and buffing. Candidates with tools and a roll around tool box are preferred. All applicants must pass a basic math test and pre-employment drug screening. We currently have openings in both day and swing shift positions.

Completion of vocational schooling or a minimum of 1-2 years of similar shop experience preferred.

Boise Mobile Equipment is looking to add to our team! We are a new-build fire apparatus manufacturer that specializes in the construction of one of the most durable fire truck bodies in the industry. We build to custom specifications supplied by our customers.

Job Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Design and fabrication of control consoles, wire harness, and support assemblies
  • Building on International, Freightliner, Dodge and Ford platforms
  • Emergency lighting packages and customization
  • Creating relay-based and multi-plexed assemblies
  • OEM Interface and programming

Requirements:

  • Familiarity of basic hand tools and metal working practices
  • Understanding of electrical principles and electrical circuits
  • Understanding of relays, diodes, and switches and the ability to diagnose and test circuits after installation
  • Must pass a basic math test and pre-employment drug screening

Additional Items Considered:

  • Automotive customization/mechanical work, finish carpentry/stereo installation or other layout experience, or some type of metal fabrication work.
  • 1-2 years of working with 12 volt systems or related vocational schooling would be preferred.

This position is full time; Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 3:30 pm. Unlimited overtime available.

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC laser. You must be able to assist with programming parts and performing preventative maintenance. You will be using hand and power tools to complete your tasks while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Job Functions:

  • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on laser equipment.
  • Stage raw material to be cut.
  • From engineered DXF files process sheet metal parts.
  • Coordinate with others to complete manufacturing parts.
  • Maintain and control inventory.
  • Maintain all consumables.
  • Maintain and service dust collector.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
  • Perform some machine alignment procedures and optic cleaning to keep equipment at peak operation performance.

Basic Qualifications:

The position of Plumbing Technician is responsible for performing plumbing and welding, and you must be able to assemble parts, install pipe, and weld using the GTAW process. You will be using hand and power tools to complete your tasks while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Examples of duties:

  • Install general plumbing systems and maintain/repair existing plumbing
  • Monitors supply and equipment inventory
  • Welding stainless pipe with the GTAW process
  • Acid washing pipes before install

Knowledge of:

  • Proper safety gear for shop environment
  • Able to use power/air/basic tools (wrenches, punches, etc.)
  • Welding knowledge preferred
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Basic math skills
