The world’s most comprehensive training-based conference on firefighting took over Indianapolis, and Boise Mobile Equipment (BME) attended to showcase their latest apparatus and industry expertise. Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International 2018 took place from April 23–28 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. BME’s booth housed two of the Wildland fire apparatus manufacturer’s most recent trucks, including a Model 34 and an Xtreme 6.
FDIC 2018 Highlights
-
- BME brings the Cal Fire Model 34 to FDIC, courtesy of Lefthand Fire Department, due to the increasing demand for wildland engines across the United states. The Model 34 is a multipurpose wildland engine that can be configured for structure and wildland firefighting needs. It is the perfect addition to any department as an Interface Engine.
-
- The BME Xtreme Type 6 dominates in appearance, durability, and functionality. Rugged off-road body construction, custom fabrication, and features such as tubular undercarriage protection and water tank mounted to frame, separate from compartments, allow this aggressive Type 6 to exceed the capabilities of other trucks in the market.
-
- Thank you to Darley for showcasing BME in their Darley Times magazine and giving BME’s President, Chad Moffat, an opportunity to try out their virtual fire training equipment.
FDIC hosted six days of firefighting workshops, displays and demonstrations, with attendees coming from all over the world. Boise Mobile Equipment apparatuses were featured in booth 8618 inside the Indiana Convention Center, with several BME Sales Reps on hand to meet with visitors. A special thanks to all of BME’s customers who stopped by our booth and took the time to say hello. Looking forward to next year’s show!
