Combined, the facilities employ individuals specializing in auto body, welding, fabrication, electrical, sales and support. AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Assists the press brake operator in running the press brake to form customer specific parts. Utilizes the appropriate tools and equipment necessary to service the customer’s needs and add value to the sale.

Major Duties:

  • Assisting the press brake operator while forming parts as well as identifying parts associated with a specific order, ensure all parts are formed to the tolerances called out on the customer drawing.
  • Operate forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes to properly handle parts into and out of the press brake while forming parts.
  • Assist in identifying any questionable quality issues and present them to your lead/supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met.
  • Increase process flow and delivery response by assisting other employees in your department. Locate and pull parts from staging areas and stage finished product in proper areas when complete.
  • Assist in preparing material for delivery, with emphasis on safety while enhancing customer satisfaction through accuracy and product quality. Keeping orders filled and product staged to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers.
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience – at least 12 months preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write in English to be able to follow written instructions and record work activities performed.
  • Math ability to figure piece counts
  • Accurately read a tape measure – including converting decimals to fractions and vise versa.

Custom Auto Body & Paint

Fire Apparatus Manufacturing – Body Shop Team Member

We are a growing shop looking to find experienced body shop employees who have a good understanding of bodywork principles, how to use body filler, how to block sand, and the ability to use air-tools. An ideal candidate would have a broad range of experiences and a strong mechanical aptitude. Related field experience would include automotive customization or collision repair work.

We work on large flat panels that require a fair amount of practice to become proficient at filling and blocking. As a Bodywork and Prep Technician, you will be responsible for grinding, acid washing, and prepping the body for the paint process. Responsibilities will include mixing and applying body filler, sanding with both longboards and mud-hog sanders. Finish sanding primer, caulking seams, masking openings, and occasional color sanding and buffing. Candidates with tools and a roll around tool box are preferred. All applicants must pass a basic math test and pre-employment drug screening. We currently have openings in both day and swing shift positions. Completion of vocational schooling or a minimum of 2 years of similar shop experience preferred.

Job Skills/Responsibilities:

As a Chassis Fabricator, you will be a part of the process of welding and installing water pumps, as well as PTOs, drivelines, and drive shafts, in addition to interior and frame modifications. You will also be involved in the designing, fabricating, and installation of brackets that will hold various pieces of fire-fighting equipment. A portion of the job includes cutting the frames and installing PTOs; mechanical abilities are important, as well as the ability to understand and calculate driveline angles.

Requirements:

An ideal candidate would have a broad range of experiences and a strong mechanical aptitude. Related field experience might include automotive/diesel customization/mechanical work, welding and other layout experience, or similar type of fabrication work. This is an assembler position for a custom production shop, not an assembly line. Someone who has 1-2 years of mechanical or welding fabrication work experience or related vocational schooling would be preferred; the ability to retain information and be adaptable is important. Welding experience is important but certification is not required.

Position Requirements:

  • Setup and maintain the operation of an older CNC Milling Machine
  • Ability to set up tool height and load ATC
  • Manually program G-code
  • Utilize DNC drip-feed systems
  • Have experience with older machines and controls (1990’s vintage)
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus

Boise Mobile Equipment is looking to add to our team! We are a new-build fire apparatus manufacturer that specializes in the construction of one of the most durable fire truck bodies in the industry. We build to custom specifications supplied by our customers.

Job Skills / Responsibilities:

  • Design and fabrication of control consoles, wire harness, and support assemblies
  • Building on International, Freightliner, Dodge and Ford platforms
  • Emergency lighting packages and customization
  • Creating relay-based and multi-plexed assemblies
  • OEM Interface and programming

Requirements:

  • Familiarity of basic hand tools and metal working practices
  • Understanding of electrical principles and electrical circuits
  • Understanding of relays, diodes, and switches and the ability to diagnose and test circuits after installation
  • Must pass a basic math test and pre-employment drug screening

Additional Items Considered:

  • Automotive customization/mechanical work, finish carpentry/stereo installation or other layout experience, or some type of metal fabrication work.
  • 1-2 years of working with 12 volt systems or related vocational schooling would be preferred.

This position is full time; Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 3:30 pm. Unlimited overtime available.

Powder coating assistants at Boise Mobile Equipment are taught to utilize high quality standards and practices in the powder coating of metal components for our clients. Powder coating assistants work with technicians in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-moving manufacturing environment where safety and quality are of highest priority.

Responsibilities/ Requirements:

  • Performs powder coating utilizing common standards and practices. Learn how to consistently and efficiently deliver quality final products according to order requirements.
  • Learn how to read and interpret work orders and directives and consistently delivers quality work in response to technical orders.
  • Double check prepped parts for accurate racking, cleaning, plugging, sanding, masking.
  • Visually inspect completed work to determine compliance to standards.
  • Powder coating system setup and maintenance: cleaning of system components, powder booths, and spray guns.
  • Documents powder coating process for consistency of thickness, color, and appearance.
  • Maintains daily production logs.
  • Works safely and in compliance with safety protocols and policies. Actively avoids and mitigates safety hazards to self and others. This role requires regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extreme heat, and loud noises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work from non-complex blueprints, specifications, work sheets, dimensions, and color codes, verbal and written instruction/information
  • Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
  • Operate all coating equipment including oven, guns, hoppers and booth collection systems
  • Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections
  • Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance
  • Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Basic knowledge of the mechanics and repair of coating equipment
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Follow quality service and safety standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year operating a powder coating assembly
  • Ability to read and accurately execute on work orders with minimal direction

Best qualified applicant will have the ability to perform skilled work pertaining to plumbing and welding such as assembling parts, installing pipe, and welding using the GTAW process.

Examples of duties:

  • Install general plumbing systems and maintain/repair existing plumbing
  • Monitors supply and equipment inventory
  • Welding stainless pipe with the GTAW process
  • Acid washing pipes prior to install

Knowledge of:

  • Proper safety gear for shop environment
  • Able to use power/air/basic tools (wrenches, punches, etc.)
  • 2 years welding experience preferred
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Basic math skills

Ability to:

  • Interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, schematics and other data pertaining to the objective
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers
  • Work within a group of people effectively, efficiently and safely

  • Correctly identifying material, size, shape, etc.
  • Use of forklift to transport material to work stations.
  • Accurately measure and cut the material to specifications.
  • Must have a good knowledge and be able to pass a tape measure test.
  • Possess ability to change measurements from feet-to-inches or decimals-to-fractions.
  • Properly label and place material for future production needs.
  • Keep the machine clean and in good working order (will be using a CNC bandsaw)
  • The ability to work well with others.
